Does my Homeowners Policy cover flood?
No. Not unless you carry a seperate Flood Insurance Policy.

How can I save on auto insurance?

    What is Bodily Injury protection?
    This coverage protects you against financial loss if someone is killed or injured by your auto and you are found liable.

    What is Property Damage Liability?
    This covers you against financial loss if you are found liable for damage caused by your auto to other people's property (such as a vehicle, building, sign, etc.).

    What is Uninsured Motorist coverage?

    Is Underinsured Motorist coverage different from Uninsured Motorist Coverage?

    This coverage pays for losses to your covered auto (up to its actual cash value) that are not caused by collision. This includes damage caused by fire, theft, glass breakage, vandalism, riot, windstorm and hail. the amount of your deductible would be subtracted from any loss settlement.

    Since I am young and single I really don't need life insurance, Right?
    Actually there are several reasons why young singles should consider a purchase of life insurance. In order to qualify for coverage you have to be medically approved (some people are declined) and there is usually no time in our lives when we are healthier than when we are young. In addition, rates are lower for younger ages and depending upon the type of insurance purchased, premiums can be locked in for a lifetime. I can lock in options to buy more coverage at a later date with no medical questions at that time would be another reason and finally, if I have debts insurance would be a good way to provide for their payoffs at my death.

    What type of Health Insurance is best for me?
    That is something that needs to be determined by your individual situation. Do you want first dollar benefits like a drug card and office visit co-pays or do you just want protection against catastrophic loss? How much of a deductible ( the portion you pay of medical bills before the company starts paying) are you able to afford? These and other pertinent questions can lead you to a product that is specifically tailored to your personal situation.

    If I let my neighbor or friend borrow my car will he/she be covered if they should have an accident?
    If he/she has your permission to drive your car and has an accident, she is considered a permissive driver. With that said, your car insurance will cover the accident and be on your insurance record.

    If my mother comes to visit and some of her personal belongings are stolen out of my car can I make a claim for that?
    No, That would come under your mother's homeowners policy not your policy because the personal belongings are usually located at her home.

    Can I purchase just Hail coverage on my crops?
    Yes.

    If a sewer backups into my laundry room and causes damage to my basement am I covered for this type of loss?
    You are covered as long as you have the Endorsement on your policy for Sewer Backup Coverage.

    If my underground sprinklers should have a pipe break and leak into the ground which then causes water to get into my basement am I covered for the water loss?
    No, this type of loss will only be covered on a Flood Policy.

    If we get heavy rains this summer and water gets into my basement and causes damage, am I covered under my homeowners policy for the loss?
    No, this would have to be covered under a Flood Policy.
